Fight class. Had the first fight class in a while I didn’t lead, it was super awesome. We were split with some older adults and jr. level adults in class. We did some stretching before and during, it was great. It was cool to switch speeds and help the younger kids and then spar with the older adults like that. Good work.

Fight Class. I taught class tonight, my last of the month for requirements. I’ll be setting up a new round for April soon enough. I’m honestly loving teaching classes. I love to lead. I’m not sure just how good a job I am at the actual, teaching people new shit part, but we’ll see…

I had the students warm up with 10 laps to get their blood flowing, then we lined up and did some footwork drills. Then worked out some footwork drills with a body/reverse punch. We broke off into match ups and did 3x 2:00 rounds. Then formed up for some more footwork drills, footwork drills + back fist or body punch and then foot work drills with throwing and catching a side kick. Point sparring stuff. Then we did a round of 5x 1:00 continuous sparring sets. Then did 10 pushups + 25 jumping jacks and then another 5x 1:00 set to finish off class. With about 5 minutes left, I had all the Blackbelts share what they noticed while sparring with the other students.

I had a ton of fun working with everyone tonight and leading fight class specifically.

Youth class, 3rd – 5th Grade, Blue & Green Stripes. Kicks & Fighting in class today. Had all the kids line up and then run 8 laps, then lined up again and drilled basic kicks. Then did some back fist & body punch combos. I had two rings setup and me and the Blackbelt took turns sparring the 5 kids who were in class. I had a good time with this class today and i’m surprisingly looking forward to the next one.

Monday class, fight class. Sempai (Clint) taught class tonight. It was good, very technical. He kept people thinking instead of just mindlessly moving. I feel like it was a bit overly technical but I just did what he said and made it a good class. It was very interesting to hear some of the other students kind of complain a bit. I had two things I could do; 1) I could complain along with them to fit in or 2) I could just say, get over it and make it a good class. I chose to do 2. I feel like the others should have really done that too.

Fight Class. We had fighting again for the afternoon class. We started with 12 or so laps to warm up then did a couple of “dead man” drills. I got picked to go second; 6x 1:00 rounds straight. Not a bad class.
