Went to the Dojo early, hung out on the floor with Sensei a bit and then assisted classes and then some team stuff.
First class was weapons. We drilled BO: Strikes, blocks, combos, kick. Then did Bo1 and Bo2, 4-5 times each.
Brown & Blackbelt class was Seiunchin. We broke it down super slow, counted moves and just worked on precision. My legs are DEAD after today. And after all those hundreds of horse stances (Kiba Dachi). Ugh…

Weapons: Started with 3x each basic kick to warm up. Then drilled Bo strikes. Bo 1 twice and then broke off into groups. Worked Tonfa strikes and then Tonfa 1 3x times.

Weapons. We went through all our weapons. Starting with Tonfa, all strikes/combos 20x each. Then we did Tonfa 1 Kata 2 times. Then Sai 1, 3 times. Then Bo 1 and Bo 2 a couple of times. Good class reviewing weapons for sure.

First class back after Blackbelt test. Man, my endurance is shot… The test took more out of me than I thought.
We started with basic kicks 2x each. Then did Bo 2 about 4 times as a group. We then broke out into smaller groups and we worked on Sai 1 and basic Sai strikes.
Good night all around. Now i’m pooped…

Just before class Sensei called me out on the floor and paired me up with a Blackbelt and had me work Konku slowly. Working on technique and refining certain parts of the Kata. Pretty cool.
Weapons: We started off with some basic review; bowing. Then we did 2x of each basic kick. Then worked Bo strikes for 20x each. Then did Bo 1 3x times each. Strong class.
I started off the day feeling pretty sickly. I kinda punked out by midday and started thinking about not going to class. But I went anyways. I’m glad I did – even though it’s been a long night and I may pay for it tomorrow.
