Taught 2 youth classes tonight, kicks & basics. Good classes and I had fun working with them.
Then had Fight Club, led by another Brown Belt student. Fun night as well.
First Class: Worked basic Kata, then lead Empi practice with Brown Belts.
Second Class: Ran through Chinto, then drilled Basics for a good 10:00, then drilled back through Chinto twice.
Drilled Basics, learned new basics: Shuto, Sudo, Cha Na Gi, Cha No Ki
Started on Taigo 3 and reviewed katas and talked about ‘cardinal sins’ as well as improving kata concepts.
Basics: Was able to work with another Shodan for ~25:00 on drilling through basics. Good stuff, helped a ton. Then regrouped with the main class and then drilled again for ~3 rounds. Would have done a few push-ups for sure, but overall i’m feeling decent about basics again.
2nd Class: Self Defense/Boken – drilled 1, 2 & 4 of boken for class. Practice makes perfect.
