WARRIOR MINDSET

NEVER GIVE UP.   NEVER QUIT.   KAIZEN.

Have you ever found yourself lost in the labyrinth of daily life, reaching for capitalism’s glittering distractions as a shield from the inner work that you need to be doing? Dr. Scott has returned to the show and brought to light the art of navigating through the chaos. We shared a raw conversation on the allure of distractions—from politics to shopping sprees—and how these might be cleverly disguised barricades against the essential task of self-improvement. Delving into the nuances that separate hobbies from mere distractions, we confronted the external standards that often dictate our self-worth and unearthed the poignant truths many of us come to recognize when it’s too late.

The mind’s complexity is a realm that can both captivate and confound, and in this episode, we scrutinized the fabric of our thoughts and actions. Exploring the relationship between brain chemistry and our sense of free will, we pondered if we’re truly the authors of our destinies or simply actors on a stage directed by our neurological narratives. Through the lens of love and forgiveness, we questioned the capacity for change and the biochemical undercurrents that steer the human experience.

Quotes from Scott’s texts:

Capitalism, politics, shopping…anything to keep me from working on me. The lifelong diversion.

Your show on the hustle struck one of my last flexible neurons as another thing people use to keep from looking inward.

Truth is not even a concern for most. It’s winning. Whatever that is at this moment.

AA asks; Would you rather be right or happy? Not as puzzling as it sounds.

The right or wrong of their cause aside, they sure are miserable people in their thoughts and actions. If x would just happen I’d be happy. And it’s always something they have no control over.

This is so intriguing to me. If we are so infinitesimally small, isn’t this the obvious explanation. We just have consciousness of our world but still locked into a reality not of our real choosing. Like animals. Just with the awareness of our lack of free will…

7 Truths People Realize Too Late In Life

Life is about knowing what does not work rather than trying to make everything work. The harder you try, the less likely it is to happen.

  1. You can’t have it all at once
  2. It’s worth taking a few steps backward for happiness.
  3. Everyone enters your life with a purpose.
  4. No one is coming to save you. You own your life.
  5. Decisiveness is about letting go of control.
  6. There is no finish line.
  7. Simplicity is the ultimate joy.
