I participated in Rank Test today, but not by testing, but as a “judge”. It was very cool. We had 5 rounds of students of various levels test today from the little ninjas to the Orange belts. My other son being in one of them.

I was given more and more students to review as we made our way through each test class. It got more difficult as the queue got higher and higher. I had to really watch more for more detail.

When we got to the Self Defense sections of each testing class I was called on to go out on the floor and test a few students. They were so nervous, I instantly remembered feeling that same way and the perspective grew me. It’s insight that can’t be talked about you MUST experience it. Much like teaching a class teaches you about what you truly know.

I cannot wait to get the change to do this again, and then later after my own test as a Blackbelt.
